On Thursday, June 1, the District will be upgrading the payment platform used to purchase food at George Grant Mason Elementary and George F. Baker High School. This will be a seamless transition for students and their families. All existing account balances, positive and negative, will automatically be transferred to the new platform. The current system, EZ School Apps, will be shut down on Tuesday, May 30 to allow for existing payments to process before the switch to Linq Connect. Students can only use existing balances, cash or check to purchase food on May 30 and May 31. Online payments will be once again available on June 1. See the linq at the top of our homepage for detailed instructions on how to register your online account with Linq Connect. The Linq platform is an exciting, and important, upgrade for our District. Beginning next school year, the nutrition and allergy information for every meal served at GGM and GFB will be made available for families to view. The transition of payment is the first step in providing better technology for our students and families. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact MaryAnne Metzak at maryanne.metzak@tuxedoschools.org Thank You

Heading into the holiday weekend, students in the George Grant Mason Elementary second grade class impressed family, friends, faculty and staff with poetry. Ms. Blume welcomed everyone into the classroom for a poetry reading, which allowed her young poets to showcase their poetry books and read a work or two aloud. April was National Poetry Month, and Blume used it as an opportunity to get her students to think like poets and see the world in a whole new way. #poetry #poet #poets #poem #poems

Principal Abigail Louissaint was back on the job this morning. The first order of business? To review budget projections with Superintendent White. And while the second grader was pleased with what she saw, it was the kit-kat at the end of the visit which left her with that #FridayFeeling Thanks Abigail!

🐢 Bart, Eddie, Rooney, Jim and the rest of the pets at the Middletown NY Humane Society are about to get a fresh shipment of food, treats and toys, thanks to the efforts of our George F. Baker High School Students. 🐱 Members of the NHS/NJHS, Interact Club and Student Council led a district wide collection drive to benefit the no-kill, privately run, supporter funded animal shelter. Yesterday, students gathered in Ms. Jones’ classroom to box up the items before they are shipped off to Middletown. 🐦 If you are interested in adopting a pet, check out their website (middletownhumanesociety.com) or Facebook page (they even have birds and hamsters)!
